Professor Ahmad Al-Jallad’s<https://nesa.osu.edu/people/al-jallad.1> contribution to the decipherment of the Dhofari script from Oman has been published in the journal Nature. The work continues a proud tradition of the study of Arabia in antiquity, and advances Ohio State’s role in the field.
The breakthrough research reveals a previously unknown South Arabian language and offers crucial insights into the history and development of ancient writing systems in Arabia.
