Dear MES Forum,
We would like you to participate in a Mid-Course Feedback on Instruction (MCFI) opportunity this term. It’s a great way to communicate with your students and improve student satisfaction. The feedback our Center received so far based on the data has helped us understand student experience better and what MESC can do to serve students and faculty more effectively. The following information on how to sign up and what to expect is from Larry Hurtubise, who oversees these surveys:
The MCFI survey has been developed through a partnership between the Drake Institute and the University Registrar and enables instructors to receive actionable feedback from students during the semester using Blue, the same system used for the end-of-semester Student Evaluation of Instruction (SEI). To support more generative discussions during the feedback process, the MCFI is designed to be voluntary and fully anonymous for both instructors and students.
To participate in the MCFI program this term, instructors should complete this sign-up survey<https://go.osu.edu/mcfi-rsvp> by Friday, January 17. Requested Spring 2025 courses will then be added to Blue, the MCFI/SEI system. Beginning January 28, participating instructors will have the option to anonymously opt in within Blue, enabling their students to access the MCFI survey.
See the timeline below for key dates and details.
