The Wexner Center will show “Trail Markers” tonight at 7:00 with film maker Mona Gazala and local poet, Mandy Shunnarah, in person

In her latest project, Gazala (of Gazala Projects<https://www.gazalaprojects.com/the-studio>) investigates how mechanisms of empires cross oceans and continents and embed themselves in the world around us. Join us for an intimate viewing of Trail Markers, a work-in-progress film that shows how Gazala herself encountered artifacts from Palestinian history in a rural Ohio museum. Described as “a winding path in unraveling the interconnected threads of empire and diaspora,” Trail Markers is still unfolding. Gazala will be inviting audience members to participate in the project after the screening in a Q&A moderated by Shunnarah. The screening will open with a poetry reading by Shunnarah, a Columbus poet. (work in progress, digital video)
