Asst. Prof. Danielle Schoon will offer a one-hour workshop on how to design and develop a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) course for humanities and area studies courses. Danielle's new course, TURK3797 Global Intercultural Citizenship in the Middle East: Turkey, was one of the first 4-credit High Impact Practice (HIP) courses to be approved by the curriculum committee last year at Ohio State, and it was the first COIL course to be approved as both an HIP in Global and Intercultural Learning and a GE in the theme Citizenship for a Diverse & Just World.



This workshop will focus on COIL as a high impact practice and teach participants:

1.            how to design and develop a COIL course, and

2.            how to successfully propose a 4-credit HIP course to the curriculum committee at Ohio State.
