Dear MES Forum,

Which films from the Middle East would be most interesting to you? Please rank this list of films we curated based on faculty suggestions: https://forms.office.com/r/06wVxYe9w5 It includes Documentaries such as Naji Al-Ali https://icarusfilms.com/if-naji , Feature Films such as Bashu https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096894/ , and current films such as The Seed of the Sacred Fig - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32178949/

The purpose of these film screenings is to enrich students’ academic experience and to give the public opportunities to learn about the Middle East trough the arts. Film also allows us to cover areas of the world that are underrepresented in mainstream curriculum. The challenge is choosing films and creating related programing that will draw audiences and justify our investment.

Thank you for your input! And please feel free to simply email me with suggestions if the form isn’t convenient.

Best wishes,

Melinda
