Dear MES Forum,



I hope your week is off to great start. Please share these opportunities with your Arabic and MENA Studies undergraduates, graduates, postdocs and fellow faculty.



CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Center for Arabic Study Abroad (CASA) has posted Fellowship Applications for three programs in 2024-25!



  *   CASA I offers a 9-month (Sept-May) advanced level Fellowship program in Arabic language and culture to qualified American undergrad and graduate level students at the Qasid Arabic Institute in Amman, Jordan or the Arab American Language Institute in Morocco (AALIM) in Meknes.



  *   CASA II offers a 5-month (Spring 2025 semester) language and research support Fellowship program for graduate students (priority given to PhD students) who are in MENA Studies (any area of specialization pertaining to the MENA region) through the Qasid Arabic Institute in Amman, Jordan.



  *   CASA III offers a 5-month (Spring 2025 semester) language and research support Fellowship program for faculty and postdoctoral fellows in all areas of specialization pertaining to the MENA region through AALIM (Arab American Language Institute in Morocco) in Meknes, Morocco.



The application requires that all applicants take the ACTFL exam for Reading, Listening and Oral proficiency.



Deadlines / Exam Dates:

•  Application deadline is February 1, 2024

•  Reading & Listening Exams may be taken from December 1, 2023 – February 15, 2024

•  OPI Exams will be taken in January/February (deadline February 15, 2024)
