Dear MES Forum,

Happy new year! We hope your semester is off to a great start. The talk<https://nesa.osu.edu/events/old-order-amish-and-jewish-ultra-orthodox-womens-responses-media> on this past Monday by Dr. Rivka Neriya-Ben Shahar on ultra Orthodox women’s views was a great way to get the semester going. The first MES forum of semester is coming soon. Join us on Wednesday, January 24 at 4:00pm, in-person in the 18th Ave Library, or via Zoom. We will be using the Research Commons Brainstorming room. You'll see unique images from the Middle East from our community that we will share and discuss. Please RSVP<https://mesc.osu.edu/form/2024-01-24-middle-east-studies-f> by January 18th.

The only requirements are that the picture was taken in the Middle East and that you have permission to share it with us. The online album does not allow downloads and sharing with others will only be by your permission. The subject can be from your fieldwork, from a research trip, or something that is meaningful to you personally. You can send it directly to me. Thanks!
