Dear MES Forum,
Did you know the Middle East Studies Center curated image galleries<https://mesc.osu.edu/galleries>? You can find pictures from our community, beautiful snapshots of sites in the Middle East, and even a collection of Persian and Iranian coins from Iran’s national museum here: https://kb.osu.edu/handle/1811/88343 Have a photograph you’d like to share? https://mesc.osu.edu/news-items
MESC creates numerous resources for faculty and students, and others with the general public in mind. Most recently, we created:
* "How to Talk About the Violence in Israel and Gaza<https://mesc.osu.edu/news/resources-how-talk-about-violence-israel-and-gaza>" and “Resources for Learning About the Israel-Palestinian Conflict<https://mesc.osu.edu/news/resources-learning-about-israel-palestinian-conflict>”,
* "Guide to Middle East Studies and Future Careers<https://lor.instructure.com/resources/396a23a7f1ff434eb399736166ae163b?shared>", for students curious about Middle East Studies at Ohio State University and how the related skills and experiences might build their career prospects. You can find it on our web site or add it directly to your Carmen course from the Instructure Commons. It includes information about courses, programs, and funding for Middle East Studies
* “Experience Persian Cultures at Ohio State University<https://mailchi.mp/e8a418de479c/persianatosu>” which outlines Persian culture and language courses available, degree programs, public-facing courses, etc.
We also encourage you to check out and share our home-grown Middle East Studies Podcast and e-Books:
* Keys to Understanding the Middle East Podcast - https://u.osu.edu/keys2mideast/
* Keys to Understanding the Middle East e-book - https://ohiostate.pressbooks.pub/key2mideast/
Would you like to contribute? Currently, we’re revising, updating and improving our resources for research<https://mesc.osu.edu/outreach/research> and related Middle East Studies Bibliography<https://mesc.osu.edu/outreach/bibliography>. Please share your recommendations! We are also open to suggestions for podcast topics and ready to schedule an episode with any of our faculty.
Best wishes,
Melinda
