During the day of the Total Eclipse
Monday, April 8, 2024
Tours will be available of the Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory to learn about plant species and about the impact of the eclipse on wildlife. The Ohio Division of Wildlife is asking us to help collect wildlife observations during the actual eclipse. Join us and help record animal observations during the eclipse!

Five Nights on Campus welcomes Violet Bell to campus
Thursday, April 11, 2024, 7:30 p.m.
The Five Nights on Campus performing arts and entertainment series welcomes original Americana duet Violete Bell to Morrill Hall Auditorium, Thursday, April 11th, 7:30 p.m.  Violet Bell weaves original Americana from folk, soul, and bluegrass music. Based out of Chapel Hill NCJ Lizzy Ross and Omar Ruiz-Lopez draw inspiration from the natural world, ancient mythology and the Piedmont's green hills. The duo honed their strong onstage chemistry playing hundreds of shows from Montreal to Miami since forming in 2016. Virtual Event: Am I Ready? Leading Large-Scale Research Initiatives
Knowing when to step into research leadership roles can be challenging given the many opportunities presented to faculty, especially after earning tenure. This 90-minute session held virtually from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, is designed for mid-career faculty interested in starting to lead large-scale research initiatives. In the first hour, participants will have an opportunity to listen to a panel of faculty such as knowing when to take on leadership roles, which roles to assume, navigating team dynamics and preparing for the complexities of leading within the institution. Charles Johnson-Bey, PhD, senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton as he provides an overview of the company and its recent push to extend into technologies such as AI, cyber, cloud, quantum and edge computing and 5G.
