FAFSA Workshops 2017
College students and their families can apply for federal and state financial aid for the 2018-2019 school year beginning this month. While the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also know known as FAFSA, process can be confusing, The Ohio State University at Marion and Marion Technical College are partnering to offer free FAFSA Completion Workshops on the Marion campus.
Current high school seniors and their parent/s, or current area college students are welcome to register for one of these free sessions even if they will attend a college other than Ohio State Marion or Marion Technical College. Several Ohio colleges have FAFSA deadlines as early as December 1, 2017, so now is the time to apply. Also, some federal student aid programs have limited funds, so applying as soon as you can would give you the best opportunity to qualify. Many campus-based and external scholarship and grant programs also require students to file a FAFSA each year.
The workshops are as follows:
Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
REGISTER HERE<https://intraweb.marion.ohio-state.edu/FAFSA/formpage.php>

In place of a gift, you can donate money. Turn money into to the campus information desk inside of Morrill Hall- the money donated will go towards purchasing items from off the tree.
By choosing an ornament off a tree, you are choosing to help a child from Marion City Schools receive a Christmas gift. These children, without the help of you, wouldn't be getting Christmas presents this year. Let's help spread the holiday cheer!

This class will investigate that contradictory relationship and track how we have conceptualized our fellow earthlings. We'll go from Aesop and Edgar Allan Poe to Birdemic and Henri the Existential Cat. In the process, we'll try to shed some light on animal minds-our own included.
ENG 4400 / 4562: Literacy Locations: London
Instructor: Sara Crosby
Tuesday/Thursday, 11:00 a.m. - 12:20 p.m.
It remains to us to cross the hidden boundaries between its teeming neighborhoods and to peel back their layers to find the ancient Roman citadel, the medieval Anglo-Saxon warren, the Elizabethan and Restoration stew of intrigue and riot, or the heaving imperial metropolis, still living, under the shiny glass and steel skin of the twenty-first-century city. "London from Shakespeare to Sherlock" will guide you through these Londons. We will tease out how they have fit together (or not) and how they have shaped one of the most vital literatures and cultures in the world.
Note: If you want to come to London with us in May, sign up for 4400 (and 5797). If you just want to take the class here, sign up for 4562.
