PALS Mentoring Program: panel discussion and information session
Want to make a positive difference in a child's life? Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to learn more about the the PALS (Pride and Life Skills) mentoring program, a joint venture between OSU Marion and the Boys and Girls Club of Marion. This lunch hour information session features Maryjo Mundey, Cheri King, and Dan Aquino, all current mentors, as well as program director Karen Thomas. Food will be provided.

Levings & Richards Named Homecoming King & Queen
Congratulations to sophomore philosophy major Austin Richards of Powell, Ohio and senior education major Emily Levings of Cardington, Ohio. Levings and Richards were named 2015 Ohio State Marion Queen & King as part of the Regional Campus Crowning Ceremony at the Longaberger Alumni House on the Columbus campus last Friday afternoon.

Special recognition to Marion Campus Homecoming Court members Ashley Irvin, Jacob Kroh, Taylor Hightower, and Dixon Shapiro. The entire Marion Campus Homecoming Court spent Friday and Saturday representing the Marion campus by taking part in a host of homecoming events, such as: the crowning ceremony, homecoming parade, pep rally, skull session, and the game between Ohio State & Maryland.

REACH Suicide Prevention Training

REACH is the OSU Suicide Prevention training program designed to help individuals prevent suicide by teaching them how to:

  *   Recognize warning signs
  *   Engage with empathy
  *   Ask directly about suicide
  *   Communicate hope
  *   Help suicidal individuals to access care and treatment

Attention Soon To Be Graduates...
The Ohio Legislative Service Commission (LSC) will soon be seeking applicants for the 2017 Legislative and Telecommunication Fellowship Program. Full-time fellows receive full state of Ohio employee benefits and are paid $28,000.00 per year, with the opportunity to earn a $2,000.00 bonus.  The application period beginning January 1, 2016. Flu Shots for Faculty/Staff and All Dependents
Visit an in-network pharmacy. Faculty, staff, and family members 7 years of age and older (dependents of University and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Faculty/Staff) enrolled in a university medical plan can receive a flu shot at no charge from a retail pharmacy in the OSUHP pharmacy network. You can get your flu shot at any in-network pharmacy, but the following pharmacies are preferred for your flu vaccine:  Costco, CVS, Good Neighbor Pharmacy Provider, Kroger, Meijer, Rite Aid, and Target. Simply present your OSU Health Plan medical/prescription drug ID card, and there will be no copay or out-of-pocket expenses.  Please note that flu shots must be provided and administered by the pharmacy.

Le Cercle Français (The French Club)
Le Cercle Français was developed to explore the diversity of French culture, and to promote understanding of how French culture affects our everyday lives. Veterans of Marion Campus
Veterans of Marion Campus student organization meetings will be help the 1st Wednesdays of the month in the Veterans Support Lounge located in the Alber Student Center room 111B.
