Hi Everyone,
On Thursday, February 21, The Office of Student Life and Diversity is continuing its series called Matinees that Matter. This lunch and learn program began at OSU Columbus campus and seeks to bring attention to issues related to Race, Class and Gender inequalities.
We plan on holding a discussion session led by faculty, staff and community members, each month. The movie Yesterday will be facilitated by Wolali Dedo. As beautiful as it is heartbreaking, the Oscar®-nominated drama Yesterday brings an intimate human perspective to the AIDS crisis in Africa. On the surface, it's a harsh and devastating story about bad things happening to good people, but such a limited description robs the film of its warmth and tender compassion.
Please, watch the movie trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk0aW2aLABc
This month's event will be held in Morrill Hall, Room 100, 11:00am-1:00pm.
Pizza, pop and cookies will be available.
