The Undergraduate Student Government is the primary student based organization that acts as the voice of the students to the faculty, staff and administration of the university. We are holding our elections for officers for the 2012-2013 academic year May 21 - May 25. The deadline to register is May 11, 2012. If you ever wanted to do something more, represent the campus community as an officer in the Undergraduate Student Government. We have four executive positions - President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary - and this year we are opening nine new representative positions - 9 Senator seats to be divided 2 per class rank and 1 Senator at Large. Make your mark on campus and represent the student body, become a candidate for USG today! All officers must be members of USG Marion prior to candidacy, so see a current USG officer or contact us at usgmarion.osu.edu to get more information on how to become a member and/or run for office.

Sign Up to Receive Emergency Weather Alerts for This Campus
Ohio State's Emergency Management office has announced a new service available to each campus community. Students, faculty and staff can now sign up to receive a text message and phone call on their cell phone when severe weather is threatening our campus. To learn more or register for this free service, go to http://go.osu.edu/weatheralert.
-- > Contact: emergencymanagement at dps.ohio-state.edu<mailto:emergencymanagement at dps.ohio-state.edu>

How the service works:
If there is severe weather that will affect the campus, you will receive a notice over your cell phone informing you of the severe weather warning and what you should do. This will only inform you of severe weather affecting the campus, so if you are away from the campus you cannot depend on it to inform you of severe weather at your current location. Total time to sign up is about 1 minute.
