Hello Buckeyes,

Spring quarter is quickly winding down and summer and autumn semesters<http://myswitch.osu.edu/> are just around the corner!  This email contains important information regarding registration for summer and/or autumn semesters<http://myswitch.osu.edu/>.

The university uses a live registration process. You are assigned an Enrollment Appointment or "window" during which you are able to register for courses. Windows are assigned based on the university priority for scheduling. When you add your courses using the online scheduling system, you are actually enrolled into those courses as you request them. If you cannot be enrolled at that time, the registration system will explain why you were not added into the course (e.g., course is full, lack of prerequisites, etc.). It is extremely important for you to register for your classes as soon as your window opens. Failure to do so will result in loss of priority in scheduling. If you are unaware of your Enrollment Appointment (window) date and time, please verify this information on your Student Center, accessed via Buckeye Link<http://buckeyelink.osu.edu/>. Click on "My Student Center" and  log in using your OSU username and password. On the right side of the page, click on the link titled " Open Enrollment Dates" to find your window date/time.

NOTE: Be sure to check your "To Do List" on your Student Center and ensure that all items are complete. Something as simple as an unpaid parking ticket or small library fine will prevent you from being able to schedule classes. Additionally, if your GPA is below 2.00, your schedule will be locked and you must meet with an Advisor to have your courses approved and the lock removed.

When you're ready to schedule, simply click on  "Add Courses" from your Student Center.

If you will be scheduling Columbus campus courses, consult The Master Schedule of Classes available at the Academics section of Buckeye Link<http://buckeyelink.osu.edu/>.

The university will transition to semesters<http://myswitch.osu.edu/> starting this summer. Due to the variety of changes that result from this transition, it is highly suggested that you meet with your Academic Advisor to plan courses for the coming year. Please schedule an appointment with your Advisor by calling 740-725-6334 (Marion)  or 614-247-9001 (Delaware). In the meantime, be sure to check out the many resources available to you regarding the transition by exploring the My Switch<http://myswitch.osu.edu/> website. You will find information on courses, financial aid, the semester calendar, and much more.
Please attend one of the remaining Semester Conversion Information Sessions.
Academic Advising will host informational presentations on the conversion from quarters to semesters.
You will learn about changes in the academic calendar, course offerings and financial aid. You will also learn about the various resources to assist you with a smooth transition.
