Join us for SUR (Strength Unity and Respect)

Hello everyone!

¡Feliz año nuevo! Happy New year!

We hope you have had a restful break, welcome back! My name is Gustavo Molinar and I serve as the Graduate Advisor for Strength, Unity, and Respect (SUR). Part of the Multicultural Center (MCC), SUR is a student group designed for Latino males (though all genders welcomed).

The purpose of SUR is to create a network of students, staff, and faculty that share a philosophy of support and brotherhood. Our ambitions are to: * challenge the status quo, * establish an academic community, * provide support to promote Latino academic success, and * use of mentorship to promote community.

We meet every other week on Thursdays from 6-7:30 in the Alonso Family Room (in the MCC). Free food is provided at each meeting.

Our first SUR meeting will be next week on Thursday, January 18 from 6-7:30 pm. The schedule for the rest of the semester will be:
·     Thursday, February 1
·     Thursday, February 15
·     Thursday, March 1
·     Thursday, March 29
·     Thursday, April 29
