I wanted to share a letter we received from the president of the Salsa Club and encourage those who were interested in coming to come and have a good time. Dear Dr. Mora, Dr. Cabral, Dr. Meecham, and Dr. Guimaraes Sampaio F Quagliato

My name is Rowan McLachlan, and I am the President of the Salsa Club at OSU. I apologize for the somewhat late notice, but I would like to personally invite you all to attend the Second Annual LatinX2 Celebration, hosted by the Salsa Club at OSU as a special thank you to Organization of Hispanic/Latino Faculty and Staff for their kind support of our event.

LatinX2 will take place in the Performance Hall of the Ohio Union on Saturday, August 25th, from 7 pm until 1 am. The aim of this event is to foster diversity within The Ohio State University by celebrating Latin culture in an inclusive, welcoming environment through music and dance. The night will begin with a 1-hour beginner salsa dance lesson, and then from 8 pm onwards, there will be entertainment from a live salsa band (Al Son Del Iya), Latin DJ, and several dance performances from local Columbus Latin dance groups. Pizza and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. I have reserved a table specifically for members of OHLFS, so please feel free to invite friends, family, or any other OHLFS faculty or staff whom you think would enjoy this evening. I sincerely hope that you can attend our event, and I thank you again for kindly supporting LatinX2.
