I just wanted to thank Alex Zahlten and Roland Domenig for organizing the
screening of Asia is One yesterday in Kyoto, it was an important missing
piece for my understanding of NDU and Japanese documentary in general.
Together with Motoshinkakarannu (seen a couple of years back in Tokyo) it's
a deep and significant exploration of the concept of border, national or
within oneself, and identity. The Q&A with Inoue san was also illuminating
and provided a necessary framework to better understand what was the Nihon
P.S. Very interesting was also the morning program with Chikako Yamashiro
