Here's a (technically poor) snap of Segawa-san with Michael Hui at Udine in 2011 after the 'Asia Laughs' panel. He features in Mark Schilling's book.

Segawa Masaharu, one of the great directors of comedy in Japan, has died at the age of 90. Segawa rose to fame helming some of the hit comedies of the 1960s and 1970s, particular in the "Train 列車" and "Tour 旅行” series, and worked with many of the great comedians. He also directed a lot for television. He was a favorite of some of my colleagues when I arrived in Japan in the early nineties, who had formed the Segawa Masaharu Study Group. They donated their bulletin to the University of Iowa Library. (Which I see is listed in the catalog as Segawa Masaharu Tsushin but has still not been cataloged--even after 20 years!)
