Good morning colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well, it was great to see many of you in Vancouver the week before last! As many of you may have already seen, an AAPM survey was distributed a couple of days ago. I encourage everyone who can to please participate in the survey, as every response truly makes a difference. The survey is intended to collect data on fluoroscopically guided intervention policies, especially around patient education, and follow-up. Your unique insights are invaluable to this effort.
The results of the survey will be used for a current state of the practice publication in JACMP. Additionally, the data will help inform the recently commenced update to the NCRP Report 168. We aim to gather as many facilities’ data as possible to ensure our findings are representative and meaningful.
To help make participation as clear as possible:
- Multiple people from the same hospital are welcome to respond.
- We especially encourage consultants to complete the survey on behalf of their hospitals.
- This invitation is open to all colleagues, both domestic and international; every data point is appreciated, you do not need to be an AAPM member to complete the survey.
- There are CEUs that can be claimed for taking the survey.

Dear Kevin,
AAPM invites you to participate in a national survey on fluoroscopically guided intervention (FGI) substantial radiation dose level (SRDL) policies and practices. Your input will contribute to a comprehensive report on the current state of FGI SRDLs, findings that will inform future guidance and report updates for the field.
Who should participate: Diagnostic medical physicists (internal and consulting) who can speak to facility-level FGI practices. Students, residents, post-doctoral fellows, and those not actively involved in diagnostic work are not eligible.
A few things to know before you begin:
* The survey covers facility-level FGI practices; please have facility names and relevant SRDL policy details on hand before starting.
* Each facility section takes approximately 5 minutes to complete, and the survey can be completed across multiple sessions using the Save and Continue Later option.
* Facility names are collected solely to prevent duplicate entries and will remain confidential; all findings are reported in aggregate only.
* To thank you for your time, respondents who complete the survey may claim 1 Continuing Education (CE) credit.
