List,
I’m working on procuring an assortment of US phantoms and just attended (remotely) the US training course run by MTMI and the folks at UM who always do a spectacular job. I’m curious to know what your favorite phantoms are. UM folks are vendor neutral but advise a general purpose QC phantom and perhaps a second with different attenuation to ensure you can test all your low frequency probes. They also recommended a uniformity phantom. I like the Sono TE but the Canadian supplier says CIRS/SUN are no longer manufacturing it. LEEDS has a similar product in their catalog but I’m not sure of their source. I have purchased the SUN 552 cylindrical uniformity phantom in the past but it is shallow and maybe more appropriate for quick tech QC. Also, looking at a solution for elastography testing.
What US phantoms do you use and why?
