[Intl_DxMedPhys] problematic new feature on Landauer IDR

A heads up to those of you who use Landauer and have enabled Landauer IDR (Individual Dose Report).

Landauer recently added a feature where participants can change their email address that the IDR notifications are sent to, thus allowing them to use their personal email address instead of their work email address.

This is problematic for us because our employees are not allowed to use their personal email for work related purposes and they are not supposed to use email when they are at work.  Thus if they check their dose report using an IDR notification sent to their personal email address, they would have to do it outside of work hours and we are required by law to pay them overtime for any work done outside their scheduled hours, including for minor tasks such as checking email, answering telephone calls or texts, etc.

I have a meeting scheduled with Landauer to discuss this and get this feature disabled for our employees.  Otherwise, we will not be able to use IDR, which would be egregious after we spent the time and effort to enter the work email addresses for our 8000+ monitored employees.

I am sure that Kaiser Permanente is not the only organization where this new feature would be a problem, so I wanted to alert the radiation safety community.
