[Intl_DxMedPhys] Canon Insight CT X-ray trigger to sync with physiological waveforms

Hi list serv,

I have a research group who needs to sync the x-ray beam on signal with their physiological monitoring systems. This is for dynamic airway studies on our Canon Insight scanners. Currently, they have an optical sensor that measures when the x-ray warning light turns on, but the duration of that light is consistently 0.12 to 0.18 s longer than the RSDR exposure duration values.

Does anyone know of a way to get a trigger signal directly form the generator or from the gantry?

We have spoken with our service engineers and Canon scientists but we have not been presented with a solution yet.

Thank you,

Joe Meier
