[Intl_DxMedPhys] NRC and Extravasation

Bill,
Nothing has come out of the NRC to date.   NRC staff sent to the NRC
Commissioners about mid-2025 a draft rulemaking package and ME draft
guidance for their review and approval.  They are still under Commission
review.  The EOs on LNT and ALARA standard, the gov't shutdown in the Fall,
replacement of two commissioners and new chair in the last few months have
pretty much frozen the NRC activity on extravasations.  With
another looming shutdown, things could get delayed further.  Do not have an
ETA when to expect a Commissioners vote on the NPRM package will occur.
 If/when approved, it will be revised as needed and published as a proposed
rule for comment (NPRM).  So, there is still a considerable timeline
until/if rulemaking and guidance is completed.
ACR and AAPM gov't relations are monitoring for any activity on the issue.
