[Intl_DxMedPhys] Recommendation Needed: Ion Chamber Survey Meter for Shielding and Leakage Surveys

I assume you’re looking for an ion chamber for its low-range capability. I always used the 451P but recently purchased a Raysafe 452. It’s not an ion chamber. It has a flat solid state detector with a pancake GM tube in the center. It has the low ranges you might be looking for, and it also can measure pulse height to estimate photon energy. The only downside is that, being a flat detector, you don’t get the angular response that you do from an ion chamber. But I like it, and I almost never use my 451P any more.

Hi All, I’m looking to buy an ion chamber survey meter for shielding inspections and leakage measurements. What do you recommend?
