[Intl_DxMedPhys] Daily QC Software Options Summary

Many >20 years ago I gave an Inforad demonstration at RSNA of a NM database solution I had implemented to compute in-vivo and other functional data in NM and included a demonstration of machine QA tracking that was very rudimentary. Bud Wendt and his students were doing something similar at MDA because at some point later he reached out to me to get an update on my implementation. So I would be interested to know what MDA is doing or if their effort spun out to be a commercial product. In-house solutions are very doable but it would be ideal to do a broad survey to develop a feature list that was consensus-driven or work cooperatively with the vendors to implement new features through a joint development agreement (we did this at UPMC years ago where I had a vendor-funded software engineer (PhD geophysicist) working with me to developing QC software tracking capabilities (and other clinically related Rx software) on the SMV America platform.

While we’re on the topic, there is an opportunity for someone to develop an apron tracking system that leverages RFID technology and maybe even AI to assess apron x-Ray images for defects. Apron management is challenging especially these days with tech shortages and anything that c xx A good software solution has yet to be implemented (in my opinion).
