been performing services for all Diagnostic Modalities and Nuclear Medicine

*Responsibilities*
- Perform annual performance evaluations for all diagnostic modalities
(fluoroscopy, radiography, mammography, CT, MRI, US).
- Perform assessments of public exposure in areas surrounding x-ray
rooms.
- Design shielding reports for new and changing x-ray and CT rooms.
- Perform QC audits and assist with QC development.
- Attend RSC/RPC Meetings
- Assist clients in evaluation of incidents of patient over-exposures
and fetal dose calculations.
- Assist with clinical protocol management and radiation protection
program development.
- Assist in designing training programs for radiation safety and MRI
safety.
- Assist clients with any violation responses following inspections.
- Nuclear medicine experience or board certification preferred.
*Required Skills*
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well in a group setting as well as independently.
- Knowledge of ACR and TJC criteria and compliance. Knowledge of Texas
state regulations or willingness to learn.
- Detail oriented and sufficiently-organized.
- Flexibility with schedule including last minute client changes.
- Ability to deal with a variety of different personalities and
situations.
- Great problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
*Education and Experience Requirements*
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Medical Physics
- Valid Driver’s License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the ABR
- Eligible for a Texas Medical Physics License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine Physics
