[Intl_DxMedPhys] EPIC - RDSR integration (or lack thereof)

Good afternoon List,

Does anyone have experience with Epic in attempting to incorporate DICOM RDSR data in either Radiant or Cupid for fluoroscopically guided interventions? Or CT for that matter?

Epic claims to be able to use DICOM messaging, but we are being told that is a non-starter for us at OSU because we use a "case" based scheduling workflow and not an "appointment" based workflow. I am not an Epic expert and do not understand why this would make any difference. It would seem that a system is either capable or not of receiving and parsing the data within an SR and, if parsable, the data from the SR should easily be associated with a patient based on an MRN and/or Acc#, no? If you have any experience with this please share.
