So the lesson is to screen everyone entering the magnet room, however briefly?  This should already be standard practice, so it raises the question of why he wasn't screened: poorly defined processes, miscommunication between staff, staff not trained on screening procedures/requirements, overscheduling leading to rushing to try to meet an unrealistic workload?  Hopefully there will be a deeper investigation than just "tragic accident, then end".

The news article also said it was an open MRI (or at least the facility was named for an open MRI), and I’m kind of surprised that an open MRI would be strong enough to pull a person hard enough by a necklace to be pulled in or pulled over into something?  But it’s been more than a decade since I’ve been in a room with an open MRI.



The facility is not listed as accredited by ACR.
