[Intl_DxMedPhys] EXT MSG Re: Man pulled into MRI scanner (AP story)

The news article says he was wearing a large, metal necklace and walked through a door he wasn’t supposed to.  So it sounds like he hadn’t been screened yet, and probably wasn’t being escorted.

The news article also said it was an open MRI (or at least the facility was named for an open MRI), and I’m kind of surprised that an open MRI would be strong enough to pull a person hard enough by a necklace to be pulled in or pulled over into something?  But it’s been more than a decade since I’ve been in a room with an open MRI.

The facility is not listed as accredited by ACR.
