The chair of the committee that produces the Professional Survey has agreed that this year there will be an additional page in the report - IF enough diagnostic physicists respond. If you look at pages 12 and 13 of last year's report, you'll see four tables for radiation oncology. I pointed out that the smaller two rad onc groups (master's not certified and PhD not certified) are about a factor of 2 smaller than the larger two imaging groups, which are Primarily Diagnostic PhD Certified and Primarily Diagnostic Master's Certified.

Julius ran some numbers based on last year's data and agreed that if we can get the same or better response, then we'll have at least as much data as the two rad onc tables that have lots of asterisks. He also checked both Primarily Diagnostic but Not Certified, and there's nothing he can do with that unless the response rate goes up a LOT.

Please consider responding to the Professional Survey this year. Look back at page 11 of last year's survey, to remind yourself that you can, for example, call yourself primarily diagnostic, primarily clinical, and academic. If you select academic, then please indicate your faculty rank.

Peace,
Loretta
