Hello List:
I would like to add a Diagnostic Medical Physicist to my team at the
Huntsville Hospital System in Huntsville, Alabama. The team consists of
one board certified medical physicist (me) and two technologists in a
quality monitoring/ training role.
The physicists are responsible for the timely performance of acceptance,
annual and accreditation testing for all imaging modalities in 15
hospitals. We do get help from consulting companies and as we keep building
the team we will reduce the need for that. Overnight travel is never
required, the work schedule is very flexible.
Candidates with strong interest in MRI are preferred and will be
responsible for the implementation and oversight of the MRI Safety program.
Experience as MRSE is preferred but not required upon hire.
ABR Board certification is highly preferred, but Board-eligible candidates
will also be considered.
This article in US News gives a nice overview of what the city has to
offer. Please feel free to ask me questions.
