Hey Danielle,
Did you by chance try the using the CTDI protocol? Most clinical protocols on the Xcite are in helical mode - Siemens has a specific CTDI protocol in axial mode.
I also noticed that this particular UI is not as easy to use as the prior UI. I found that sometimes the CTDI protocol defaults to two images (you have to manually make the slice prescription smaller so there is only 1 image). Once I manually change that, I resave the protocol so I don't have to change it every time I test.
Ashley

Good afternoon.
Is there a trick that anyone has found when testing beam width on the Siemens X.Cite CT scanners?
These systems are not as user friendly as others and you are limited to factor collimation settings. The collimation 64x.6 that I tested should have given me approx. 38.4mm and I measured 61mm. I know I need to pick a protocol without z-sharp, but has anyone else come across this and what did you find/ use for testing?
Thanks in advance.
