ICICLE Release 2026-08
The ICICLE team aims to build the next generation Cyberinfrastructure (CI) to render Artificial Intelligence (AI) more accessible to everyone and to drive its democratization further in solving larger societal problems.
It is with great pleasure that we announce 2026-08 release of ICICLE CI components.
This release includes the following components:
New to ICICLE CI Catalog
Intelligent Cyberinfrastructure
CI-for-AI

  *   Earth Data Hub v0.1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/geoharmonizer-ui>
     * A browser-based interface for uploading geospatial boundaries, previewing them on a map, and submitting data collection and harmonization jobs to Tapis-managed HPC execution systems.

AI-for-CI

  *   No-Code Workflow Studio v0.1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/workflow-orchestrator>
     * The No-Code Workflow Studio is a web-based application that allows users to create, manage, and execute workflows without writing any code. It provides a visual interface for designing workflows, integrating various services, and automating tasks. The studio supports drag-and-drop functionality, making it accessible to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  * Patra AI Cards Frontend v1.0.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/patra-frontend>
     * Vue 3 web interface for browsing, searching, submitting, and editing Patra model cards and datasheets.
  *   Smart Curriculum Designer v0.1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/curriculum-generator>
     * An AI-driven educational framework that integrates automated curriculum generation with an end-to-end computer vision pipeline, enabling experiential AI literacy learning for K-12 and undergraduate education through real-world datasets.

Use Inspired Science
Animal Ecology

  *   I-SAW Portal v0.1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/I-SAW_Portal>
     * A public-facing web portal for I-SAW (Infrastructure for Sensing and Analytics on Wildlife), a plug-and-play edge-networked wildlife sensing platform for K-12 camps, citizen scientists, and field researchers. The portal presents the project vision, an interactive Smart Honeypot data sandbox with analytics dashboards, and an onboarding hub for deployment scripts, device configuration files, and field-kit requests.

Digital Agriculture

  *   Yield Estimation Transformer v0.1.0<https://huggingface.co/ICICLE-AI/yield-estimation>
     *
A transformer-based model for county-level corn yield estimation using multi-temporal weekly weather observations and 66 static soil properties. It produces yield estimates in bushels per acre at seasonal cutoffs from week 20 through week 52, and is packaged as a Hugging Face model for deployment through FlexServ.

  *
ArrayMorph for Cloud HDF5 v1.3<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/ArrayMorph>
     * ArrayMorph enables efficient storage and retrieval of array data from cloud object stores, supporting platforms including AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and S3-compatible storage. It is designed to accelerate scientific and AI workloads that rely on partial array access.
  *
Intelligent Edge Management Service v0.1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/intelligent-edge-management-service>
     * This repository now carries a standard contribution baseline — contributing guidelines, code of conduct, security policy, citation metadata, structured issue forms and a pull-request template — plus two CI checks on every pull request and push to main: a repository-health check that the required project and governance files are present, and a secret scan (gitleaks and TruffleHog) and a built test. Each also documents a four-level verification model in docs/TESTING.md. All of these were added to bring the repositories up to open-source and release readiness.
  *
Intelligent Semantic Segmentation & Annotation v0.1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/smart_labeler/blob/main/SEGMENTATION_README.md>
