ICICLE Release 2025-08
The ICICLE team aims to build the next generation Cyberinfrastructure (CI) to render Artificial Intelligence (AI) more accessible to everyone and to drive its democratization further in solving larger societal problems.
It is with great pleasure that we announce 2025-08 release of ICICLE CI components.
This release includes the following components:

Food Security Sandbox v1.0.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/food-security-sandbox>
     *   A comprehensive web application that enables farmers and researchers to collaborate on machine learning models while preserving data privacy. The platform provides tools for dataset management, collaborative model training, and privacy risk analysis in agricultural contexts.

     *   It uses AI models and traditional compiler techniques to enhance the performance scalability of C programs and Python programs by profiling and identifying optimization approaches.
     *   New in this release (MCP Features):
     *   MCP Server: Added a server component exposing profiling tools for C and Python code, enabling detailed performance insights.
     *   MCP Client: Included a basic client for testing and interacting with the MCP server, facilitating early adoption and feedback.

     *   A suite of APIs for managing and interacting with models, datasets, and inference servers across machine leaning platforms.

Animal Ecology

     *   A modular software pipeline and end-to-end workflow for video-based animal re-identification, which assigns consistent individual IDs by clustering multiview spatio-temporal tracks with minimal human intervention.

Digital Agriculture

     *   This release adds support for the Expanse system along with shapefile generation, shapefile visualization, and image cropping. It also introduces initial OpenPass integration and data stream capture support
