Big ICICLE Release 2024-09
The ICICLE team aims to build the next generation Cyberinfrastructure (CI) to render Artificial Intelligence (AI) more accessible to everyone and to drive its democratization further in solving larger societal problems.
It is with great pleasure that we announce this 2024-09 release of ICICLE CI components.
This release includes the following components:
New to ICICLE CI Catalog
Intelligent Cyberinfrastructure
AI Foundations

  *   Plug-N-Play Speech Interfaces v1.0<https://github.com/OSU-slatelab/SpeechGUI-AlignmentFramewor>
     * Plug and play components for speech front ends, including wakeword detection, transcription, and endpoint detection

AI for CI-for-AI

  * Intelligence Plane with Smart Scheduler Use Case v0.0.1<https://colab.research.google.com/drive/1bCfPnasMrgJhW53ZC2wxb-7Ogck43TrO?usp=sharing>
     * A jupyter notebook to try all IntelligencePlane and Smart Scheduler services. These services were hosted on a server that facilitates the creation of new monitoring topics and job scheduling. The jobs are monitored by IntelligencePlane, which tracks their performance and utilization, and reschedules them based on the data captured from the monitoring topics.

CI-for-AI

  *   ArrayMorph For Cloud HDF5 v1.0<https://github.com/icicle-ai/ArrayMorph>
     * ArrayMorph stores and retrieves HDF5 data from the AWS S3 cloud object store
  *   Profiling Compiler v1.0<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/ProfilingCompiler>
     * The Profiling compiler V1.0 collects critical data such as loop upper bounds, data types, the number of mathematical operations, and other static features to enhance performance insights.

Privacy, Accountability, and Data Integrity

  * AUTOLYCUS: Exploiting Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) for Model Extraction Attacks against Interpretable Models<https://github.com/ICICLE-ai/AUTOLYCUS>
     * a novel retraining (learning) based model extraction attack framework against interpretable models under black-box settings.

Reference Architecture

  * Reference Architecture Data Schema v0.1.0<https://github.com/icicle-ai/CI-Components-Catalog/blob/master/architecture/architecture-component-schema.yaml>
     * Data schema for describing the architecture of a component in the ICICLE component catalog.
