Hi, folks, from the below, of interest to us are the following:

Kosher food industry--Employees
This proposal was made as a reference hierarchy for the approved proposal Mashgiahs. PTCP felt this could be misleading, since mashgiahs are not necessarily employees of the kosher food industry. We instead decided to use Kosher food industry as a related term to Mashgiahs. The proposal is not necessary.

October 7 Hamas Attack, 2023--Religious aspects--Islam; Israel-Hamas War, 2023---Campaigns--West Bank; Israel-Hamas War, 2023---Religious aspects--Islam
These are part of a series of proposals relating to the attack on October 7, 2023, and subsequent war. Currently, there are no cited works in these proposals and/or no need for them to be created as reference hierarchies. However, PTCP understands that these headings may be needed in the future. After discussion with the catalogers responsible for the proposals, we decided that all three proposals will be withdrawn and retained.

Otherwise, Mashgiahs is now a valid LCSH term (h/t Marlene!), as are the set of subjects for the Oct. 7 attack and ensuing war.
