[Heb-NACO] Cataloging Forums

Dear All,

I just want to mention that in the past three years of the Cataloging Forums existence, the RAS - Cataloging Committee has developed and hosted 11 Cataloging Forums.

Past Cataloging Forums
* The LC classifications of BM vs. KBM (November 23, 2021; session lead by Aaron Kupperman)
* Introduction to Cataloging Hebrew manuscripts (Mar 22, 2022; session led by Zsófi Buda)
* Genre Terms and Form Headings (May 24, 2022; session led by: Dorie Kurtz and Amy Phillips)
* Introduction to Hebrew Paleography (July 28, 2022; session lead by Dr. Judith Olzsowy-Schlager)
* LCDGT (November 17, 2022; session led by: Veronica Ranieri and Haim Gottschalk)
* MARC 510 Notes Field (February 23, 2023; session led by Haim Gottschalk)
* Understanding the Rules of the Sheva and Kamats (March 2023; session led by Dr. Ben Outhwaite)
* Provenance in Rare Judaica Cataloging (MARC 561) (May 2023; session led by Louis (Chaim) Meiselman)
* Recording Manuscript Waste in Printed Hebrew Books (December 2023; session led by Dr. Judith Olzsowy-Schlager)
* Best practices for proposing a subject heading (March 21, 2024; session led by Amy Phillips)
* Let's Talk about Ethical Cataloging (April 11, 2024; session led by Tricia Mackenzie)

We are planning several more for this AJL year, with Cataloging Forum no. 12 being held in September. Details to come.
