[Heb-NACO] Milon Ariel

I believe that at one time there was a discussion of making Rav-milim resource of choice when needing to find a more contemporary word or slang that did not appear in E-S or Alkalay. I would have to see if I can find a reference to that somewhere.

My understanding is that we prefer ES and Alkalay and if that fails (which probably indicates new terminology or slang or some word the author invented), anything we can find that shows which nekudot to Romanize). Is there a “pecking order” of non-preferred sources? When desperate, I suggest trying online sources for anything , since if it isn’t in the ES/Alkalay we are desperate.

It was agreed that ES is our Bible. I would take Milon Ariel only as a tie breaker or as another source of information.

Milon Ariel is authoritative as other dictionaries and it includes some Slang and Non-Hebrew words that the traditional dictionaries do not include.

Again I am for keeping ES and Alkalay where they are but also check, if needed Ariel and other reputable dictionaries.
