Countries and local jurisdictions change names .... I suggest you use the most current form of the name, preferably in its "authorized" form.

Subject: [Heb-NACO] NAR question (no Hebrew involved :-)

When I have a person that was born in a German town that ceased existing in 1945, and now is in Poland (with a totally different Polish name), what should I put in the 370 for "place of birth" ?? The original name or the last known one??

Many thanks,
Uri
