Shalom
The simple linguistic meaning is the assistant, the one who carries (the tools). In the rabbinic literature Nose kelehem or Nose Ha-kelim are the commentators. It is a phrase used very often especially with commentaries to Maimonides.

Subject: [Heb-NACO] rabbinic phrase

What is meant by "nose kelehem"?

... perush u-ve'ur 'al Shu. 'a. Yoreh de'ah Hilkhot shehitah asher hiber ... Yosef Karo ... 'im hidushe dinim she-hishmit ha-ga'on ... Mosheh Iserles ... 'im nose kelehem ha-lo hu Be'er ha-golah ... meha-ga'on Mosheh Rivkes ...

"Be'er ha-golah" appears to be the name of a commentary.

Thank you for your wisdom, Heb-NACOers.

Joan
