[Heb-NACO] Author of Ma'amre Rosh ha-Shanah?

Dear Aaron,
Clearly we cannot always depend on the information provided by other cataloging agencies. In this case it might be useful to inform the National Library of Israel that the author that they have ascribed as the author of this work is in fact not the correct one.
Thanks, Heidi

Colleagues,

Thanks Bob, Heidi, and Yossi, for your responses.

I called the yeshivah and they informed me that Aaron M. Schechter, not Yonatan Daivid, is the author of Maamre Rosh ha-Shanah .

There is one more step you can take: Call the Yeshiva and ask. I guess this will be the most accurate answer.

Yossi,

I will assume the NLI cataloger knew specifically that the author is Yonatan David Daivid and not the other rosh metivtah Aharon Shechter, particularly since Rabbi Shechter heads the branch in New York and the work was printed in Monroe, N.Y.

Thanks so much for your help!

The National Library in Jerusalem identified him as Yonatan David Daivid

Dear Colleagues,

I am currently cataloging Ma'amre Rosh ha-Shanah (lccn: 2011425444).  In a note to the reader, it states that these words were heard in the Bet ha-midrash of the Mesivta Rabenu Hayim Berlin and Kolel Gur Aryeh from the mouth of Maran ha-R. M., shelita and that within them are brought the Torah words of the Baal "Pahad Yitshak."  I know that the Baal "Pahad Yitshak" is Rav Hutner.  None of the current roshe ha-yeshivah have M. as a first initial.  However, the current mashgiah ruhani is Mordekhai Zelig Shechter.  Do people think he is the author of the work?  If not, can someone tell me who Maran ha-R. M. might be?

Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Aaron
