Dear Dr. Janet Box-Steffensmeier,
I am the director of marketing for the campus organization, TEDxOhioStateUniversity. As such, I represent the organization in my search for speakers and performers for our 2015 event, “The Human Narrative.”
Our TEDx conference uses a platform of innovation, conversation, and inspiration to allow speakers and performers from the Ohio State University to present their “ideas worth spreading.” While we operate under the guidance of TED, a non-profit centered on technology, entertainment, and design, TEDxOhioStateUniversity is an independently organized, student-run event that is locally funded.
TEDxOhioStateUniversity uses an interactive platform to highlight interdisciplinary storytelling from the Buckeye community. With that, we hope to create a positive atmosphere for change wherein innovators can share captivating ideas and encourage conversation throughout the entire university.
We are reaching out to you in the hope that you may assist us in finding OSU students, faculty, or alumni with ideas worth spreading. If you know anybody you believe would give a good TEDx talk or performance, we encourage you to pass along our application to them or recommend them yourself through our website: tedx.osu.edu<http://tedx.osu.edu/>.
Our application is due by October 31st. Speaker interviews will be conducted on November 15th and 16th, so that selected speakers and performers have enough time to perfect their TEDx Talk while working in conjunction with an assigned speaker coach and the TEDx content committee. The theme for our event this year is ‘’The Human Narrative,” and we encourage any and all unique perspectives on this topic!
