Health and Human Services Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973


Out for public comment next week proposed changes by Health and Human Services will  clarify expand their current Section 504 regulations in critical areas including:

  *   Web, mobile, and kiosk accessibility.
  *   Accessible medical equipment.
  *   Medical treatment and value assessments.
  *   Maintenance of accessible features in the built enviornment.
  *   Communications access.

Discrimination on the Basis of Disability in Health and Human Service Programs or Activities
AGENCY: Office for Civil Rights (OCR), Office of the Secretary, HHS.
