Greetings:



I am reaching out in my capacity as treasurer for the Disability Studies
Graduate Student Association to announce an exciting upcoming event we are
hosting that your community is invited to attend.



On Wednesday, November 30, at 12:45 pm, we will host Lise Worthen-Chaudhari
in a guest lecture titled “The Experience-Dependent Nature of Neural
Recovery: Highlights from Arts and Neuroscience Research.” The event will
be held in the Ohio Union, Room 3020C (also known as the Interfaith Prayer
and Reflection Room). Admission is free and open to the public. To discuss

Worthen-Chaudhari is a Research Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation within The Ohio State University’s Neurological
Institute and is the Associate Director of the Motion Analysis and Recovery
Biomechanics Laboratory. A biomechanist and former professional dancer, she
bridges the art, math, and science of movement in order to integrate
creative arts with rehabilitation science. She has more than a decade of
experience conducting clinical research of central nervous system recovery,
has collaborated with thought leaders such as Dr. Jane McGonigal, and has
been funded by the National Institutes of Health for her work.
