Good afternoon,

My name is David Jordan, I am a senior here at Ohio State and I am writing to you as an officer of our OSU campus chapter of the Thomistic Institute. The Thomistic Institute is a national organization dedicated to promoting rigorous intellectual discourse about philosophy and theology in the intellectual tradition of the medieval philosopher St. Thomas Aquinas.



I am writing to you because we have an upcoming event that we believe Religious Studies students may be interested in! Dr. Patrick Callahan from the University of Nebraska will be on campus on Tuesday, October 10 at 6:15pm in the Social Hall at the St. Thomas More Newman Center to give a lecture entitled “The Beautiful and the Sublime: How to Make Art that Leads to God" This will be a fantastic opportunity to engage with the philosophy of beauty, aesthetics, and theology.
