Dear all,

Please find attached our Call for Papers for an international workshop
on *Border
Crossings and Human Rights in Graphic Narratives*, to be held online on the
17th and 18th of June, 2022.

This workshop aims to explore intersections between border crossings and
human rights in fiction and non-fiction graphic narratives. It will focus
on works that explore borders as sites of exclusion, while also navigating
and/or commenting upon the practices of 'b/ordering' that are enabled by
these spaces. Please see the CfP for more information.

Please send your proposals of no more than 300 words and a short bio note
of no more than 150 words to bordercrossingcomics at gmail.com by March 17th,
2022. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by April 17th, 2022. The
papers selected for the workshop will be published in a special issue of a
peer-reviewed journal.

All the best,

Olga Michael & Laurike in 't Veld
