The Board meets virtually once a month and Board members also participate in the Society’s Standing Committees, including the Conference Committee, Outreach Committee, Nominating Committee, and Awards Committees.
The Board is interested in welcoming talented colleagues from diverse backgrounds for the elected positions of Second Vice President and two Members At Large, and for the appointed positions of Treasurer and Social Strategist. As of February 2021, the Society’s By-Laws have been revised and updated position descriptions will be in place for the new Board that begins its work in May 2021. ELECTED POSITIONS (elections take place electronically in April)
The Second Vice President commits to a three-year term of office with an optional fourth year, in which they move from Second Vice President to First Vice President then President and, if they wish, Immediate Past President.

Members at Large serve two-year terms. Two positions are available.
APPOINTED POSITIONS (appointments by the Executive Board begin in May)
Treasurer serves a three-year term and oversees the finances of the Society.
Social Strategist serves a three-year term and maintains the Society’s online presence.
In order to run for these positions, candidates must be current CSS members.
