Hello there!  

 

It’s wonderful to hear from folks whose work I have read or whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting/corresponding with. 

 

I’m Tiffany Hong, and I teach Comics/Manga and Japanese Lit/Culture at a liberal arts college in Indiana. I’ve been fortunate enough to publish on Zero, The Maxx, Avengers: Endgame, and The Vision (upcoming!). I’m interested in the narratology of comics and manga, how graphic narrative compels a cognitive process - of embodiment, of perspective-switching, of retrospective and aggregative making of meaning - that is often overlooked, especially in more popular texts. I’m hoping to establish a Comics/Manga Studies minor at my college, and to write much more on comics, and their intersection with the techniques of popular Japanese literature.
