Hello, list,

I’m involved with organizing a couple of exciting comics events in London in March:

FRAMES is a one-day workshop on MARCH 20 for students and early-career researchers currently affiliated with CHASE (Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-east England) institutions. The day is divided into two workshop sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning session is *Graphic Medicine* with Ian Williams. The afternoon session is *Comics as Research Practice* with Nick Sousanis. Bursaries are available to all CHASE students for travel and accommodation to attend.

TRANSITIONS is a one-day symposium on MARCH 21 promoting new research and multi-disciplinary academic study of comics / comix / bande dessinée / manga / and other forms of sequential art. This year, we are pleased to host two international keynote speakers: Prof. Dr. Sylvia Kesper-Biermann (Universität Hamburg) and Dr. Nick Sousanis (San Francisco State University). Attendance is free and open to the public, but registration is essential.

Hope to see some of you there!
