We hope those of you with interest and experience in these areas will volunteer for these important committees that will work to make our organization more inclusive and accessible.

As part of our post-conference review, the Executive Board passed the following motions unanimously at its September 7th, 2019 meeting:

ACCESSIBILITY COMMITTEE
The Executive shall strike an Accessibility Committee by September 30th, 2019.

This committee is to be Chaired by a member of the Executive Board and consist of three to five members not on the Executive Board (at least one nominated by the GSC and the others nominated or self-nominated from amongst the membership and appointed by the Executive Board). Members shall serve a 12 month term on the Committee.

The Accessibility Committee shall prepare a CSS Accessibility Statement for discussion and approval by the Executive Board at its January 2020 Board meeting. This Committee will also advise the Conference Organizers and may participate in joint meetings with the Conference Organizing Committee.
The Accessibility Committee is to be Co-Chaired by Jenny Blenk (Member-at-Large) and Leah Misemer (Member-at-Large).

We are currently seeking nominations and self-nominations from CSS members in good standing to serve on this committee. Please send an email expressing your interest, or nominating another member (with their consent) to Candida Rifkind (c.rifkind at uwinnipeg.ca<mailto:c.rifkind at uwinnipeg.ca>) on or before midnight CST on September 25th, 2019.

CODE OF CONDUCT COMMITTEE
The Executive shall strike a Code of Conduct Committee by November 15th.

This committee is to be Chaired by a member of the Executive Board and consist of three to five members not on the Executive Board (at least one nominated by the GSC and the others nominated or self-nominated from amongst the membership and appointed by the Executive Board). Members shall serve a 12 month term on the Committee.

The Code of Conduct Committee shall draft a procedure for dealing with violations of the Code of Conduct by CSS members, to be presented to the Executive Board at its February/March 2020 Board meeting for approval as an amendment to the current Code of Conduct document.

The Code of Conduct Committee will be chaired by Samantha Langsdale (Social Media Strategist).

We are currently seeking nominations and self-nominations from CSS members in good standing to serve on this committee. Please send an email expressing your interest, or nominating another member (with their consent) to Candida Rifkind (c.rifkind at uwinnipeg.ca<mailto:c.rifkind at uwinnipeg.ca>) on or before midnight CST on November 8th, 2019.
